LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an experienced Accounting Supervisor for a Not-For-Profit client in the downtown Chicago area (Hybrid: 3 days in office, 2 days WFH). Salary commensurate with experience will range from $85K-$95K plus health, dental and vision benefits, PTO, 403(b) and 401(a) and more.

Position Overview: As the Accounting Supervisor, you will manage the monthly close process, including journal entries and reconciliations, through both hands-on work and direct management of accounting staff. You will report directly to the Controller and work closely with other senior members of the finance and accounting team.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant hands-on experience in accounting or finance.
• At least one year of supervisory experience.
• Experience in public accounting is preferred.
• CPA certification is preferred but not required.
• Experience with Form 990 a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, and accounting software such as Sage Intacct.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and general ledger processes.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proven leadership ability and experience managing teams in a fast-paced environment.
