Job description

The Accounting Supervisor, under broad direction, is responsible for coordinating and supervising staff in activities supporting the general ledger, sub-systems, and related business systems and applications, along with the resulting financial statements.

• Salary: $120,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the preparation, review, and accuracy of finance and accounting activities within the department, including executing financial close activities, reviewing and updating business practices, performing internal control self-assessments, preparing forecasts and annual business plans, conducting business analysis, and implementing ongoing process improvements.
• Leads a team of accountants and administrative staff, overseeing personnel functions such as monitoring performance, setting development objectives, and conducting regular performance reviews.
• Advises management on key financial issues, performance, and processes using diverse communication tools.
• Interprets and applies company policies, controls, and accounting principles to financial transactions.

Qualifications:

• Must have an undergraduate degree in accounting, business, or a related field, with at least seven (7) years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of US GAAP, SEC reporting, or country-specific accounting standards is required.
• Experience in preparing or reviewing SEC filings, including XBRL, is necessary; CPA certification or active pursuit of it is preferred.
• Previous experience in public accounting, with familiarity with HFM, SAP, or Essbase systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Adobe Pro), and experience with Workiva is highly preferred.
• Ability to demonstrate advanced functionality in SAP, Hyperion, and other relevant applications.
• Strong project management skills and understanding of financial performance metrics such as CVA/NOVA.
• Deep knowledge of general accounting, internal controls, risk mitigation, financial analysis, statutory reporting, and forecasting.
• Experience working in large or global companies and willingness to work overtime during busy periods.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
