Summary of Position

Responsible for overseeing the accounting department's daily operations, ensuring accurate financial records, compliance with regulations, and timely financial reporting. They manage a team of accountants, guiding their work and providing training. Responsibilities include preparing financial statements, participating in audits and reconciling daily activity.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as listening attentively to guests
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), and relevant regulations
  • Experience with accounting software, spreadsheets (e.g., Excel), and other relevant tools.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and/or holidays as needed

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
  • Proven work experience as an Accounting Supervisor or similar role.

Duties and Responsibilities

Financial Reporting:

· Prepares and reviews financial reports, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting principles and regulatory standards.

Compliance:

· Monitors and ensures compliance with accounting regulations and internal controls.

Data Analysis:

· Analyzes financial data to identify trends, variances, and potential issues.

Auditing:

· Supports internal and external audit processes.

Process Improvement:

· Identifies and implements process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Communication:

· Communicates financial information to management and other stakeholders.

Month-end and Year-end Close:

· Oversees the month-end and year-end close processes.

Supervision:

· Direct and supervise the work of accounting staff, including training, and addressing any issues.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Finance.
