Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) invites applications for an Accounting Intern at our Lake Forest headquarters. The role supports month-end close activities, reconciliations, and cross-functional collaboration, while gaining hands-on experience with Oracle ERP and Oracle ARC.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in Accounting or Finance with a 3.0 GPA, have completed sophomore year, and are eligible to work in the U.S. full-time for the internship duration.

Qualifications

• Must be a currently enrolled college student majoring in Accounting, Finance or other applicable major.
• Must have completed sophomore year and maintain a GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher.
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

• Support month end close activities, including journal entry preparation and balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Learn to navigate business-related software programs (Oracle ERP, Oracle ARC).
• Analyze data and processes.
• Contribute to a team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
• Communicate project results to management via oral presentations and written reports.

Educational Requirements/Qualifications

• Must be a currently enrolled college student majoring in Accounting, Finance or other applicable major and completed sophomore year.
• A minimum grade point average of 3.0/ 4.0 is required. Must be eligible to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis.

Compensation And Benefits

• Starting salary for position: $25.00 - 30.00 per hour determined by your academic year. per hour.
• Paid Holidays.
• Upon hire, an employee is automatically enrolled in the 401k plan. The plan offers both pre-tax and Roth contribution options along with employer provided matching contributions.
