Singleton Schreiber, LLP is seeking an organized, detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our San Diego team.

Base pay range

$28.00/hr - $32.00/hr

Salary and Benefits: $28.00- 32.00 based on experience. Actual salaries will vary and depend on factors such as location, skills, experience, and qualifications for the role.

Job Duties
  • Significant client interaction by making electronic payment confirmation phone calls
  • Assisting the Settlement Accounting team as needed
  • Assist with preparing and processing client payments and attorney fees
  • Reviewing Client Settlement Distribution Agreements
  • Coordinating with the Settlement Team/Practice Areas on client payments
  • Filing and maintaining accounting documents
  • Assisting with month-end close procedures
  • Handling internal and external inquiries concerning client’s payment
  • Performing additional duties/projects needed to support the entire accounting department
Qualifications And Requirements
  • Exceptional client interaction skills are a must
  • Experience with clients and customer communication
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills to maintain and build relationships with internal departments
  • 1-3 years of general accounting experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook) and QuickBooks
  • Law Firm experience (preferred)
  • An eye for efficiency and improvement of current processes
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously and be very organized
  • Excellent administrative, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail and accuracy
  • Positive and enthusiastic team player
  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Studies, or Economics
  • Full-time, Hybrid position (In Office 2 days per week)
