Job summary

The California Department of Tax and Fee Administration (CDTFA) is seeking an Accounting Administrator I (Specialist). Under general direction, you will evaluate complex fiscal activities affecting accounting operations and participate in statewide financial management projects such as Fi$CAL and CalATERS.

Qualifications

• Experience with governmental accounting, financial reporting, cash management, and reconciliations.
• Experience with Fi$Cal month-end close and year-end close processes.
• Knowledge of State accounting policies, procedures, and financial controls.
• Experience researching and resolving complex accounting discrepancies.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify and resolve financial data issues.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate complex fiscal activities affecting accounting operations, policies, and procedures.
• Represent BOE in high-level financial management projects and initiatives.
• Revise accounting procedure manuals and distribute expenditure reports.
• Maintain Cost Code Tables in the BOE Paris Database and analyze their effects.
• Collaborate with BOE management and other divisions to ensure reporting requirements are met.
