The Missouri Department of Corrections seeks an Accounting Specialist to apply accounting principles in financial reporting and to ensure GAAP and GASB compliance across agency funds. You will analyze accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and assets, supporting audits and statutory fiscal notes with independence and judgment.

Minimum qualifications include 2+ years in accounting, or 6+ years in government accounting. A strong background in budgeting and staff supervision is preferred.

• Knowledge of GAAP/GASB and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to analyze financial statements and explain accounting events.
• Experience supporting audits and fiscal notes for auditors.
