Job summary

Jencap is seeking an Accounting Specialist (Receivables) to join our Phoenix, AZ team on a hybrid schedule. The role handles posting payments, payment inquiries, and past due notices, with a back-up function for PTO coverage.

Responsibilities include preparing 1099 reporting and processing disbursements of commissions and refunds, while supporting audit tasks and other related accounting duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Requires a 2-year degree (preferred) or equivalent of at least 4 years’ experience in practical accounting environment.
• Experience with automated accounting systems and financial software applications.
• Back-up to Accounts Payable and other duties as needed.

The Accounting Specialist (Receivables) will work a hybrid schedule from our Phoenix AZ office

Responsibilities

• Post payments to invoices
• Take payment calls
• Respond to accounting emails in Inquiry inbox

• Function as back-up to all AR positions, filling in as needed for PTO coverage
• Prepare 1099 annual reporting
• Call on outstanding checks to reissue payment

Requirements

• Requires a 2-year degree (preferred) or equivalent of at least 4 years’ experience in practical accounting environment.
• Knowledge of automated accounting systems and financial software applications Prepare audit workpapers at year end and assist in audit completion
• Function as back-up to the Accounts Payable position, filling in as needed for PTO coverage
• Document and maintain department procedures online (update as necessary)
• Assist Managers and Controller with special projects as needed.

The base salary offered for the successful candidate will be based on compensable factors such as job-relevant education, job-relevant experience, training, licensure, demonstrated competencies, geographic location, and other factors. Discretionary incentive compensation may be awarded.
