Job description

We’re looking for an accounting professional with advanced accounting experience to guide staff that handle day-to-day accounting transactions, including preparation and posting of journal entries, reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, and other general accounting and bookkeeping duties. Must have strong analytical skills and the ability to thoroughly review financial statements. Directly interact with a wide range of clients.

This position can be hybrid or in-office at either of our Chicago suburban offices: Frankfort or Northbrook. There is potential to be fully remote, ideally within a 2-hour driving distance from one of our offices for in-person meetings. We offer flexible schedules to allow for work/life balance.

Responsibilities
  • Minimum of 3 years accounting/bookkeeping experience, preferably within a public accounting firm.
  • Working knowledge in QuickBooks - QB certified is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements and the ability to read accounting transactions.
  • Payroll experience - Xero payroll experience is a plus.
  • Must be comfortable reporting to multiple people and clients.
  • A self-starter who takes initiative and demonstrates some drive.
  • Reliable, accurate, and detail-oriented a must.
  • Well organized with excellent time management skills.
  • Quick learner and able to prioritize.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

This position requires a can-do attitude and strong interpersonal skills.
