Job summary

Telgian is seeking an Accounting Project Specialist to lead accounting-related projects, improve processes, and support system implementations within the Finance/Accounting department. The role involves cross-functional collaboration, SOP development, and ensuring accuracy in financial reporting and analyses.

You will coordinate ERP-related initiatives, test system updates, train staff on new procedures, and monitor project milestones while delivering clear progress updates to management.

Qualifications

• Experience with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics AX/365, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including PivotTables, XLOOKUP and formulas.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate accounting-related projects from planning through implementation.

Position Summary

The Accounting Project Specialist is responsible for managing and supporting accounting-related projects, process improvements, system implementations, and cross-functional initiatives. The position also assists with financial reporting, reconciliations, documentation, and continuous process improvement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate accounting-related projects from planning through implementation.
• Analyze existing accounting processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and internal controls.
• Develop, document, and maintain accounting standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Assist with ERP, accounting software, and system implementation or enhancement projects.
• Assist in testing for new systems, software updates, and process changes.

• Monitor project timelines, milestones, and deliverables while communicating progress to management.
• Create training materials and provide guidance to accounting staff on new procedures and systems.
