Job summary

ADP, Inc. in Brownsville, TN is seeking an Assistant Controller to support the Controller in managing all accounting and financial activities for a midsize multi-state manufacturing business.

The role covers financial reporting, month-end close, reconciliations, payroll support, AP/AR oversight, inventory accounting, and ERP administration. Candidates should have a Bachelor's in Accounting or related field and 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience; knowledge of GAAP and ERP systems is

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily accounting operations including AP, AR, payroll, general ledger, and inventory accounting.
• Prepare and post journal entries and maintain supporting documentation.
• Perform monthly account reconciliations and balance sheet analyses.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
• Assist in preparing financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses.
• Maintain inventory costing records and support inventory controls.
• Support payroll administration and regulatory reporting.
• Assist with tax compliance and audit requests.
• Support ERP administration and process improvements.
• Provide backup support for the Controller during absences.
