Job summary

MAU MARINE in Okoboji, Iowa is offering a paid Accounting and Business Operations Intern position for May–August 2027. You will perform daily cash reconciliations, prepare deposits, and develop reports using EVO and Excel while learning accounting principles under supervision.

You will gain exposure to inventory processes, financial statements, and special events support, with mentorship and potential growth within Mau Marine’s operations.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Admin or a related field.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles is preferred.
• Ability to maintain accurate records.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and able to multi-task.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong computer skills and proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Maintains regular and punctual attendance; may work extended hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cash reconciliations.
• Create daily bank deposits and change orders.
• Develop and generate reports from EVO and other web-based systems.
• Enter data into Excel spreadsheets for daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
• Perform general reconciliations on various business processes (e.g., gift cards, fuel sales).
• Analyze and report on discounts and refunds.
• Assist with ad-hoc inventory checks and inventory clean-up.
• Assist in statement generation and mailing.
• Assist in Mau Marine special events as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
