Bland & Associates invites an Accounting & MIS Intern to join our team in Omaha, NE. You will work with finance and technology teams on systems and data behind accounting activities, gaining exposure to financial systems, reporting, and automation in a collaborative setting.

The role suits students majoring in Accounting with MIS or MIS with Accounting minor, maintaining a 3.0 GPA or higher, with 15–20 hours per week during the school year. Paid, year‑round opportunity with training provided.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree with a major in Accounting and a minor in MIS, or major in MIS with a minor in Accounting.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA required and intermediate Excel skills.
• Familiarity with SQL, Power Query, Python or VBA and exposure to ERP systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Systems & Data Support: Extract, clean, and validate financial data from accounting and ERP systems; maintain master data and assist with controls documentation.
• Reporting & Automation: Build and maintain reports and dashboards; automate recurring tasks and support month-end close data pulls and variance reports.
• Collaboration & Development: Work with staff across accounting and technology teams; handle multiple assignments and participate in process-improvement projects.
