Are you an experienced Accounting Manager with extensive ad agency experience? We are currently recruiting for an Accounting Manager position that might be a great fit for you. Please read below for more details.

Position Overview

An LA-based ad agency is seeking an Accounting Manager to join their team. The role involves managing month-end close, GL accounting, and payroll processing. The Accounting Manager will be the sole finance professional within the organization, requiring a hands-on approach and the ability to work independently.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field
2. 10+ years of accounting experience
3. Recent experience in accounting for an ad agency within the last 5 years (minimum 1 year)
4. Advanced proficiency in Excel

Key Responsibilities

1. Oversee all accounting operations, including AP, AR, payroll, and GL management
2. Prepare financial statements, monthly/quarterly closings, and tax filings in accordance with regulations
3. Manage client billing, revenue recognition, and media reconciliation to ensure project financial accuracy
4. Develop and maintain financial forecasts, budgets, and cash flow projections
5. Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax laws, and industry-specific financial standards
6. Analyze financial data and provide strategic insights to leadership
7. Collaborate with account management and media teams on project costs, profitability, and margins
8. Implement and improve financial controls, policies, and systems
9. Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions
