Qualifications

  • Qualified CPA or CPA candidate preferred with 7+ years in the life insurance or annuity business.

This position is responsible for supporting the development of the analytical tools used to support the Company's statutory Financial Statements, ensuring integrity of data and maintenance of a robust control environment, having a command of our legal entity and general ledger structures, and driving process improvements. This role will require significant interaction with different areas of the Finance organization, including controllership, investments, as well as various component teams and business unit leaders.**Responsibilities*** Oversight and accountability for timely and accurate delivery of the quarterly and annual statutory analytics package for each of the Company's insurance subsidiaries* Oversight and accountability for timely and accurate delivery of the statutory reporting of various AIG subsidiaries* Partner with the broader statutory accounting team to prepare and review key financial statement disclosures* Collaborate with Controllership, Systems/IT, Finance Center and other key functions to ensure complex transactions are properly reflected in the statutory financial statements, issues during quarter close are timely identified and resolved, and a strong feedback loop exists to drive continuous process improvement* Manage efforts to strengthening the control environment and implementing process improvements (e.g. Project Partner), with a particular focus on enhancing our use of technology and development of automated solutions as Corebridge invests in transforming the Finance function* Support and contribute to projects and workstreams associated with significant transactions and ad hoc activities, such as acquisitions, capital transactions, etc.**Skills and Qualifications*** Qualified CPA or CPA candidate preferred (not required) with a minimum of 7+ years of experience in the life insurance or annuity business with a background in STAT or GAAP.* Proficient with general ledger software and excellent excel skills* Strong problem solving structuring and counselling / influencing senior leaders* Experience operating in a dynamic, transformational environment, where change is embraced and viewed as an opportunity to drive process improvement* Demonstrated strong business and financial acumen as well as advanced change management and project management skills* Demonstrated past success at creating or significantly upgrading the function and instilling a culture of continuous process improvement* Highly influential and able to flex leadership style according to the situation* Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation development and delivery, with an ability to effectively work across teams* Resilient and tenacious with a propensity to persevere**Compensation**Corebridge also offers a range of competitive benefits as part of the total compensation package, as detailed below.**Work Location**If the position is based in one of Corebridge Financials' hub offices which are Houston, TX, Jersey City, NJ. or Woodland Hills, CA office the role is subject to our hybrid working policy, which gives colleagues the benefits of working both in an office and remotely.
