Position Overview

This remote role supports the West Coast Client Accounting team. As the Accounting Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Property Accounting Department, managing activities and workload for a portfolio of commercial properties. Your responsibilities include ensuring high-quality financial reporting, mentoring your team, and collaborating closely with property managers and clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Understand client reporting requirements and executed agreements per property.
  • Hire, manage, train, and develop property accounting staff, monitoring their skills against client needs.
  • Ensure accurate and timely real estate accounting for a diversified portfolio.
  • Assist in the annual property budget process.
  • Oversee delivery of monthly financial reports and address client inquiries.
  • Onboard new client accounts and set up accounting systems.
  • Identify and implement process improvements.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team through effective communication and coaching.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial property accounting or real estate.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience managing teams.
  • Proficiency with MRI and MS Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Skills
  • Advanced accounting education; CPA is a plus but not required.
Additional Information

Location: Remote, supporting the West Coast. Salary Range: $85,900 - $98,000. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401k, paid time off, parental leave, and bonus potential.
