Job description

Our client is a $x0M series B SaaS startup backed by a prestigious VC firm, seeking an Accounting Manager due to growth. This role is 100% remote, but candidates must be based on the West Coast. Please ensure you meet the location requirements and upload your resume to be considered.

What you'll be doing:

1. Financial Reporting - Prepare and review accurate financial statements (monthly, quarterly, annual). Ensure GAAP compliance. Own month-end close and GL management.
2. Revenue Recognition - Manage SaaS revenue recognition per ASC 606. Oversee billing, collections, revenue forecasting.
3. Account Reconciliation - Perform regular reconciliations of bank, GL, and other financial accounts.
4. Budgeting & Forecasting - Assist with budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis. Provide strategic insights.
5. Audit & Compliance - Coordinate audits, ensure timely completion, maintain documentation and internal controls.
6. Team Leadership - Manage and mentor accounting staff, support professional development.
7. Management Interaction - Work with upper management, oversee financial performance reports for VC investors.

What you'll need:

1. Bachelor's (Master's preferred) in Accounting
2. CPA, Big 4 background
3. Minimum 5 years of experience, with 1-2 years as a senior accountant in SaaS
4. Experience with QB; familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle) is a plus
5. Experience scaling a business and cross-functional interaction
6. Prior IPO or VC exit experience (Series B+ preferred)
7. Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP
