Job summary

McKesson is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead Trade Vendors COGS & AP within ARC. You will oversee period-end close, review virtual-team journal entries, and coordinate reconciliations, while driving SOX compliance and process improvements.

The role partners with North America and Canada stakeholders, leveraging technology and analytics to modernize general ledger processes and strengthen controls across McKesson.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting or related field.
• 7+ years accounting experience.
• CPA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform and review period-end close accounting activities and ensure deadlines are met.
• Review journal entries prepared by the Virtual Team and supporting documentation.
• Review balance sheet reconciliations and reports prepared by the Virtual Team.
• Oversee preparation and review of period-end reporting deliverables.
• Coordinate tasks performed by the Virtual Team to ensure quality service delivery and mitigate risks.
• Provide feedback and support escalations raised by the Virtual Team.
• Provide monthly flux analysis explanations for specific general ledger accounts and lead related discussions with senior management.
• Generate reports from multiple systems and perform in-depth analysis, as needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and drive process improvements.
• Provide accounting support to various stakeholders and multiple functions across multiple Business Units.
