This position reports to the Sr. Manager, Accounting Operations and is responsible for accounting operations within Trade Vendors COGS & AP in McKesson's shared services Accounting, Reporting, and Compliance operations (ARC) team. The Accounting Manager oversees and performs period-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, fluctuation analysis, and related reporting, while partnering with Business Units and stakeholders across North America and Canada.
The role provides oversight and support to the Virtual Team by reviewing work, managing escalations, analyzing exceptions, and driving timely resolution of outstanding items. It also supports SOX compliance, internal and external audit requests, and continuous improvement of controls and accounting processes.
Beyond core operations, the Accounting Manager will help advance ARC's transformation by leveraging technology, analytics, automation, and AI to modernize processes, improve reporting, and strengthen the integrity of general ledger information. While the primary scope is Trade Vendors COGS & AP, the role may also support broader accounting, reporting control, or transformation initiatives across McKesson.
