Vaco by Highspring in Brentwood, TN is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee the daily accounting operations, ensure GAAP compliance, and lead the monthly close. You will mentor the team, enhance policies, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support accurate financial reporting.

The role requires 5–7 years of accounting experience, a relevant degree, and strong Excel and ERP skills. A leadership background and CPA/CMA-eligible status are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5-7 years progressive accounting experience.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and financial reporting.
• Leadership and mentoring experience.
• Proficiency with accounting software and Excel.

Responsabilités

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including general ledger maintenance.
• Ensure timely preparation and analysis of GAAP-compliant financial statements.
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes.
• Review journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Maintain and reconcile fixed asset schedules.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and external standards.
• Assess internal controls and conduct risk assessments.
• Supervise and develop accounting staff with evaluations.
• Collaborate across departments to support reporting needs.
• Develop and refine accounting policies and systems for efficiency.
