Willmar Electric seeks an experienced Accounting Manager to lead a skilled accounting team in Lincoln, NE or Willmar, MN. The role manages day-to-day accounting, GL activities, payroll support, and close processes, while collaborating with leadership to enhance internal controls and cross-functional processes.

You will help shape procedures, support audits, and drive continuous improvement across the organization, contributing to long-term growth and financial health.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with journal entries, GL management, and reconciliations.
• Knowledge of fixed assets, capitalization, depreciation, and asset tracking.
• Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience in accounting supervisory roles, ideally within construction or contracting.
• Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems; strong Excel skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy.
• Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience with ERP implementation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations.
• Manage general ledger activities and assist with payroll, collections.
• Prepare and review financial statements; ensure timely month-end and year-end close.
• Maintain internal controls and support external audits.
