Job summary

Aston Carter seeks an Accounting Manager in Cleveland, OH to lead the accounting team for a newly acquired operation and shape its financial processes during transition. You will oversee core accounting functions, including reporting, budgeting, cash flow, controls, and monthly close.

You will partner with corporate leadership and plant management to drive cost savings, process improvements, and performance enhancements across the organization. Travel monthly to Newark.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting and 3-5+ years in staff or senior accounting.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and experience with standard costing.
• Experience in manufacturing or distribution environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting operations: GL, AP, AR, payroll, and reporting.
• Lead monthly and annual close to ensure accurate, timely results.
• Coordinate external audits and maintain proper documentation.
• Develop budgets and forecasts with leadership and operations.
• Monitor KPIs and provide financial analysis for decision-making.
• Maintain data integrity in a cloud ERP, including costing and inventory.
• Oversee internal controls and asset protection per policies and GAAP.
