Job summary

Nucor, North America’s largest steel and steel products maker, seeks an Accounting Manager to lead the division's finance team and align with strategic goals. You will oversee general ledger, payables, fixed assets, tax, budgeting, forecasting, inventory, and internal controls.

Safety and cost improvements are emphasized; CPA/CMA/MBA are preferred, and relocation may be required to support growth within Vulcraft of Indiana.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business required.
Minimum of three years of experience in a financial-related position.
Must not be related to any employee of Vulcraft of Indiana.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and execute accounting activities including general ledger, fixed assets, accounts payable, tax, and inventory management.
Lead the implementation and interpretation of accounting policies while ensuring GAAP compliance and system improvements.
Supervise internal and external audit processes and maintain proper internal controls.
Prepare forecasts, assist with annual budgeting, and support monthly financial reporting and balancing.
Provide analytical support to other departments and drive continuous cost improvements.
Develop an in-depth understanding of the production environment and serve as the financial liaison with the division management team.
Train, develop, and provide growth opportunities for finance department teammates.
