Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including overseeing processes or leading a team.
• Strong understanding of general accounting principles, financial statements, and month-end close procedures.
• Experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems; inventory/distribution experience a plus.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and ability to analyze financial data.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with ability to manage priorities.
• Excellent communication with both accounting and non-accounting stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to identify process improvements and maintain accurate records under deadline pressure.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting activities, including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable.
• Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes for accurate, timely reporting.
• Prepare and review financial statements, income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies for accuracy.
• Maintain general ledger and ensure transactions follow accounting principles.
• Oversee revenue recognition, allocations, accruals, prepaid expenses, and fixed assets.
