Job summary

McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead day-to-day accounting for the 02S Equipment and Logistics business.

You will drive close processes, reconciliations, and data integrity, partnering with finance leadership, operations, corporate accounting, and regional teams to deliver timely, accurate reporting. The role focuses on strong internal controls, process improvements, and staff development in a fast-moving environment, supporting project profitability and

Qualifications

BS in Accounting/Finance or related field required.
Minimum 5 years accounting experience.
Construction or equipment rental industry experience preferred.
Proficient Excel and ERP systems.
Experience with Power BI or AI-enabled tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities, including journal entries and reconciliations.
Maintain close calendars and checklists for timely accounting routines.
Ensure billing, inter-project charges, cost allocations, AP/AR, inventory/asset accounting where applicable.
Maintain CMiC structures and data quality for cost reporting by product line and region.
Coordinate with Corporate Accounting and Internal Controls for GAAP compliance.
Manage and develop accounting staff and provide day-to-day guidance.
Serve as main contact for accounting/finance questions from teams and partners.
Identify process issues and improve controls and tooling rollout.
Track and allocate national supplier rebates.
Assist in internal financial reporting and quarterly projections.
