Taekus, a luxury financial services company, is seeking a Finance & Accounting Manager to bridge external bookkeeping with an internal financial model and to own finance admin workflows as the company scales. You will report to the CEO and gradually bring bookkeeping in-house while driving reporting improvements.

Ideal candidates have CPA, a finance degree, 5+ years in accounting (banking or lending preferred), strong Excel skills, and the ability to own end-to-end workflows in a lean startup

Formación

• CPA certification and accounting degree required.
• 5+ years of accounting experience, banking or lending preferred.
• Solid accounting fundamentals: debits/credits, accruals, month-end close.
• Strong Excel skills; BI tools and AI tooling are a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as liaison between external bookkeepers and internal financial model.
• Support accounting and reporting processes.
• Lead monthly close and project accounting tasks.
• Restructure chart of accounts to align reporting and forecasting.
• Transition bookkeeping in-house over time.
• Own day-to-day finance admin workflows: AP/AR, invoicing, vendor management, payroll coordination.
• Identify process improvements and automation opportunities.
• Build Excel models connecting actuals to forecast.
• Support leadership with variance analysis and ad hoc data.

Taekus is a profitable fintech and travel startup building a next-generation premium banking and rewards ecosystem for affluent customers. With $100M+ in annual revenue and $4B+ in annual transaction volume, we’re entering a new stage of growth focused on scaling our core banking systems, rewards infrastructure, and partner integrations.

Our books and our financial model currently live in two different worlds. We're hiring a Finance & Accounting Manager to bridge them — a person who understands how our external bookkeepers structure our financials and how our internal model thinks about the business, and can reconcile the two into a single source of truth.

You will be reporting to the CEO and over time, you'll take ownership of bookkeeping in-house from our external firm. Along the way, you'll own the finance admin workflows that keep the company running.

Your Responsibilities

• Serve as the liaison between our external bookkeepers and our internal financial model

• Support various aspects of our accounting and reporting process.

• Lead delivery of accounting tasks and project and close books each month.

• Help restructure our chart of accounts so reporting matches how we actually operate and forecast

• Transition bookkeeping in-house over time.

• Own day-to-day finance admin workflows: AP/AR, invoicing, vendor management, expense management, and payroll coordination

• Identify process improvement and automation opportunities to drive positive change across the organization.

• Build and maintain Excel models and reporting that connect actuals to forecast

• Support leadership with variance analysis and ad hoc data crunching, escalating risks and issues to leadership as needed

What We're Looking For

• CPA certification

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field

• 5+ years of experience in accounting (preferred banking or lending)

• Solid accounting fundamentals (debits/credits, accruals, month-end close)

• Strong Excel skills

• Experience with a BI tools is a plus

• Demonstrated hands-on use of AI tools to do real work.

• Strong sense of ownership; happy owning workflows end to end at a lean startup
