Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration with a major in accounting or equivalent education and experience.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience directing accounting activities.
• Knowledge of general cost accounting methods.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Finance Department and ensure compliance with federal and state requirements.
• Supervise and direct staff to ensure timely accounts payable and receivable processing.
• Develop and maintain financial/statistics, record keeping and reporting systems.
• Prepare budgets for government contracts and other billable activities.
• Coordinate with auditors for annual audits and prepare related journals.
• Produce profit and loss statements and monthly closing and cost accounting reports.
• Analyze revenue and expenditures to recommend budget levels and control costs.
