CRC Builders Inc., a California licensed luxury general contractor, is seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager for its multi-project operations. The role involves overseeing full-cycle accounts payable and receivable, job cost tracking, and ensuring timely monthly financial closes.
The ideal candidate will maintain high standards in financial accuracy and compliance, protecting the integrity of CRC’s margins and cash flow. A salary range of $72k to $80k is offered, along with PTO and 401k benefits.
This is a hands‑on accounting manager position – not a title, a job. You will own the day‑to‑day financial operations of a multi‑project construction company while also building and enforcing the systems that keep us clean.
You are not here to manage a team of ten. You're here to run the books, own the close, and be the financial backbone between the field and leadership.
Full‑cycle AP/AR – entry, approval routing, payment runs, collections follow‑up.
Monthly close by the 10th – no exceptions, no excuses.
Job cost tracking in Procore + QuickBooks Online – committed costs, budget‑to‑actual, variance flags.
WIP schedule – monthly, tied to PM % complete inputs.
Subcontractor billing oversight – lien waivers, compliance docs, Adaptive intake workflow.
Payroll processing coordination (Workforce) + labor cost allocations.
Owner draws, reimbursements, and officer comp tracking.
1099 prep and vendor compliance.
Cash flow visibility – AR aging, AP aging, 13‑week cash view updated monthly.
Audit support – clean files, documented entries, no surprises.
Procore Adaptive QBO data flow – you own the integrity of that pipeline.
Every responsibility this role owns – from AP/AR and job cost tracking to WIP, compliance, and cash flow visibility – directly protects CRC's margin integrity, cash position, and the reliability of every financial decision leadership makes. Clean books, accurate job cost, and a locked monthly close aren't accounting functions – they are the operational foundation that determines whether CRC hits its revenue, profitability, and growth targets.
CRC Builders is a California licensed luxury general contractor that guides visionaries through the process of building custom estates, wineries, and tasting rooms – spaces that reflect who they are and what they've built their lives around. Grounded in our core values of Humble Badassery, Ascendance, Relentless Tenacity, and Passion to Deliver, we don't just construct buildings – we advocate for our clients from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring every decision made is the right one for their vision, their family, and their future.
Accurate, on‑time financials give leadership the data needed to guide clients and projects with confidence – you can't advocate for a visionary's budget if your own numbers are three weeks late.
Real‑time budget‑to‑actual visibility on every active project is what separates a trusted guide from a contractor who delivers surprises at closeout – this directly protects the client relationship and CRC's margin.
Disciplined collections and a 13‑week cash view keep CRC financially stable enough to deliver on every commitment made to every client – relentless tenacity means nothing if the company can't make payroll on a tough month.
Clean compliance on every subcontract protects the client's property, CRC's license, and the integrity of the build – this is the unglamorous work that makes the "guardian and advocate" promise a real one.
Salary $72k – $80k with 5 days PTO & 5 days Sick leave & 401k.
If these values sound like yours, you'll fit here. If they don't, this probably isn't your seat.
