Job summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a publicly traded organization to recruit an Accounting Manager for its Corporate Accounting team in New York. This high-visibility role reports to the Controller and leads close activities, strengthens internal controls, and drives scalable process improvements.

The ideal candidate blends public accounting and corporate experience, with strong technical accounting knowledge and a passion for automation. NetSuite expertise is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required.
• 5–7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• CPA preferred, but not required.
• Big 4 or public accounting experience is a plus.
• Experience in public company or SOX-regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end and quarter-end close activities, ensuring timely financial reporting.
• Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and GL activity in NetSuite.
• Oversee employee expense reimbursement and corporate card accounting.
• Manage accounting for revenue recognition, deferred revenue, leases, assets.
• Collaborate with FP&A, Operations, and SEC Reporting for accurate reporting.
• Drive process improvements and automation across close activities.
• Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and resolve reconciling items.
• Assist with disclosures and technical accounting analyses.
• Support regulatory reporting and subsidiary compliance filings.
• Collaborate with banking partners and support treasury initiatives.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Mentor a Senior Accountant and elevate the accounting function.
