Job summary

JAM Best One Fleet Service is seeking a detail-oriented accounting professional to oversee daily bank activity and the monthly bank reconciliation. You will maintain knowledge of the accounts payable and receivable systems, ensuring accuracy and timeliness, and prioritize duties to ensure month-end close by the 10th of the month.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Accounting or Business Management, 5–10 years’ accounting experience, and strong Excel skills.

Position Overview

This position is accountable for reviewing daily bank activity, the completion of the monthly bank reconciliation, and have a working knowledge of the accounts payable and accounts receivable systems, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of these transactions. The incumbent is responsible for taking the initiative in completing necessary duties and prioritizing them to ensure that the month end closing process occurs by the 10th of the month.

Requirements

• Minimum of a Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Business Management is required.
• Preferred 5-10 years of accounting experience.
• Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must have strong technical skills including typing, scanning, e-mail, internet, and software navigation.
• Must have extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Must have the ability to receive direction from multiple people.
• Must be able to manage time efficiently and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

The ability to work a full shift, come to work on time, and work according to the necessary schedule to meet job requirements with or without reasonable accommodation is an essential function of this position.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to sit for long periods of time, stand for short periods, and walk short distances.
• Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull, or otherwise move objects weighing 10 pounds on a regular basis and up to 25 pounds occasionally.
• Must have ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards, which requires substantial repetitive movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
