General Purpose:
Manage and oversee the daily operations of the Accounting Department by establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, policies, and principles for multiple entities.
This position is responsible for a team of four direct reports. The ideal candidate must have a very thorough knowledge of accounting and GAAP compliance and will have had exposure to accounting in a manufacturing setting. This is a hands‑on position that requires execution of tasks while leading the team. The candidate is expected to be able to analyze department processes to identify efficiency gains. The individual must be well spoken and familiar with financial deadlines.
The Accounting Manager should be curious and able to generate data using information from previous research. Our company utilizes Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012, Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O, as well as QuickBooks Desktop. This position works very heavily in Microsoft Excel and the candidate will need to have a proven understanding of advanced functions. The position requires the ability to properly prioritize requests for regular reports and understand what information is being requested. This is not a remote position. Travel is defined as working at a satellite location based in Villa Rica, GA for a full day, every other week.
