About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented, and hands-on, Accounting Manager to join our remote team. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for a wide range of finance, accounting and operations activities. This is a part-time role with an expectation of 25 hours per week, reporting to the VP of Finance.

What You'll Do

• Manage full-cycle bookkeeping, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger accounting.
• Oversee outsourced accounting support on bookkeeping and accounting clerical duties.
• Manage month-end close, including SaaS revenue recognition, accounts receivable reserves, account payable accruals, prepaid, fixed assets, intangible assets, lease accounting, intercompany accounting, and consolidation.
• Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close, in accordance with US GAAP.
• Collaborate with leadership to provide financial insights, including budget-actual reporting,that drive decision-making.
• Manage cashflow analysis to ensure adequate funding for programs and initiatives.
• Manage inter-company and multi-entity cash management and consolidations.
• Act as POC with state agencies regarding annual filings and tax payments.
• Act as HR liaison between PEO and employee base, managing onboarding / offboarding of employees, leave of absences, employee pay rate changes and reviewing payroll.
• Support other financial analyses as requested.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in a senior accounting role.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, tax compliance and financial reporting.
• 1-2 years of experience supporting payroll and other HR functions.
• Experience supporting or owning full-cycle bookings &month-end close processes.
• Experience with Quickbooks Online.
• High proficiency in MS Excel.
