Job summary

Kelly is seeking an Accounting Manager for a hybrid, temp-to-hire role. You will lead month-end close, manage accounting processes, and partner with FP&A, Tax, and Audit teams to ensure accuracy and control.

The position requires 8–10 years of experience and a strong background in RTR and leadership. The role offers a hands-on leadership style in a fast-paced shared services environment, with an emphasis on control, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
  • 8–10 years accounting/audit experience.
  • 5–7 years hands-on RTR general ledger experience including close & reporting.
  • 3 years of people management (coaching, developing, evaluating staff).
  • Experience leading accounting processes/teams and reviewing complex deliverables.
  • Shared services/multinational/global corporate setting experience.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee month-end close and reporting in line with corporate calendar.
  • Own assigned accounting areas and ensure accurate, timely recording and analysis of transactions.
  • Review balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting with variance analysis.
  • Lead process improvement, automation, and transformation initiatives.

Job Posting: Accounting Manager (Hybrid — Temp-to-Hire)
Onsite Requirement:

Hybrid — 2-3 days per week or 8 days per month onsite (dependent on team schedule)

Type:
Temp-to-hire; conversion after 6 months, based on successful engagement

About the Role

The Accounting Manager will lead and drive accounting, financial reporting, reconciliation, and month‑end close activities for assigned business units and accounting processes. This is a hands‑on leadership role, combining ownership of complex accounting work with team guidance in a fast‑paced, 3‑day close environment. The role operates within the Finance Shared Services (FSS) organization, ensuring financial integrity, compliance, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and execute month‑end close and reporting processes in line with the Corporate Reporting calendar
  • Own assigned accounting areas, ensuring accurate, complete, and timely recording and analysis of transactions
  • Review and approve balance sheet reconciliations; promptly resolve discrepancies
  • Identify and resolve accounting issues and risks, escalating as needed
  • Prepare and review financial analyses, management deliverables, and ad hoc reports with audit‑ready documentation
  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting, including variance analysis
  • Update and maintain process and control documentation for consistency and audit readiness
  • Ensure internal control compliance and maintain a strong control environment
  • Analyze results, trends, and balances, identifying risks and recommending improvements
  • Collaborate actively with FP&A, Tax, Corporate Accounting, Internal Audit, and business partners
  • Manage team assignments, priorities, and quality standards
  • Lead process improvement, automation, and transformation initiatives
  • Coach and develop accounting staff, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
  • Support internal/external audits and coordinate responses
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's in Accounting required
  • 8-10 years relevant accounting/audit experience
  • 5-7 years recent, hands‑on RTR general ledger experience, including close & reporting responsibilities
  • 3 years of people management (coaching, developing, evaluating accounting staff)
  • Experience leading accounting processes/teams and reviewing complex deliverables
  • Shared services/multinational/global corporate setting experience
  • Proficient in controlled close/audit environments
  • Advanced Excel & analytical skills
Preferred/Highly Desirable
  • CPA designation
  • Public accounting/external audit background
  • Experience with revenue recognition (IFRS 15 / ASC 606)
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP, NetSuite, SAP, or similar ERPs and BlackLine
  • Accounting for publishing, information services, software, and SaaS/subscription models
  • Outsourcing experience (customer & service provider sides)
  • Financial transformation and process improvement leadership
  • Fast‑paced (accelerated) close cycle experience
