Job summary

Aduro Advisors is seeking bright and talented Accounting Managers to join our team serving top-tier clients in the Venture Capital & Private Equity space. You will support accounting, reporting, capital calls, and investor relations as a foundational team member.

This role is US-based with a work-from-home arrangement across the United States, and you will collaborate with clients and the Aduro team to provide thoughtful, detail-driven service using FundPanel, Box, and leading accounting tools

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in audit, alternative asset industry, or fund administration.
• External auditor experience is a plus.
• CPA certification or MBA is desirable.
• Experience in a client-facing role supporting multiple clients.
• Proficiency with accounting systems such as Xero and QuickBooks.
• Familiar with Gsuite, Microsoft Office, Box, Slack.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile banking transactions and prepare journal entries in accordance with US GAAP in Xero.
• Drive month-end close process and raise follow-up questions to Controller or client.
• Assist in preparing quarterly financial statements.
• Work closely with your Controller to manage your client relationships (client-facing).
• Prepare draft investor correspondence in FundPanel including capital contribution notices, distribution notices, quarterly reporting and capital account statements.
• Maintain investor information, investment information, and other fund metrics in FundPanel.
• Maintain legal documents including formation documents, investment documents, and other relevant client information in Box.
• Prepare and obtain documents for annual audit and tax process.

The Accounting Manager works as part of a client service team to support a dedicated set of clients. From accounting and reporting to capital calls and investor relations, the Accounting Manager is a foundational part of their team. Here Is The Type Of Work You Will Do

• Reconcile banking transactions and prepare journal entries in accordance with US GAAP in Xero

The salary range for the Accounting Manager position is $70,000 - $110,000. Salary is determined based on current market data and candidate experience level. Employees in the Accounting Manager role are eligible to participate in the Aduro Bonus Program.

While Aduro team members work from home across the US, we are only able to hire in the following US states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Utah, and Washington.

You May Be Successful In This Role If

• You have a minimum 3 years’ experience in audit, alternative asset industry, or fund administration
• You have external auditor experience, a CPA certification or an MBA is a plus
• You have experience in a client-facing role supporting multiple clients
• You are naturally resourceful, driven and have strong problem-solving skills
• You see the value in providing excellent customer service, being thoughtful and know the details make the difference
• You have working experience with accounting systems such as Xero and Quickbooks
• You are comfortable with software systems including Gsuite, Microsoft Office, Box, Slack
