Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory or lead roles.
  • CPA or CMA preferred.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office; advanced Excel skills required.
  • Experience with certified payroll reporting preferred.
  • Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
  • Self‑motivated, organized, dependable, and able to work in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Fluent in English (oral and written).
  • Valid driver’s license with excellent driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Daily Accounting Operations — Oversee general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
  • Payroll Administration — Process bi‑weekly payroll, maintain certified payroll reporting, and reconcile state and federal payroll taxes.
  • Financial Reporting — Lead month‑end and year‑end close, ensure accuracy of financial statements, and identify trends to support fiscal responsibility.
  • Forecasting & Planning — Project inflows/outflows, oversee reconciliations, and manage reserves.
  • Compliance & Audits — Maintain internal controls, ensure GAAP compliance, and develop strategies for auditing and testing procedures.
  • Team Leadership — Supervise, mentor, train, and review accounting staff; establish best practices aligned with company policy.
  • Cross‑Functional Support — Partner with the CFO and internal teams to support new initiatives and organizational improvements.
  • Process Improvement — Implement qualitative best practices and enhance accounting workflows.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory or lead roles.
  • CPA or CMA preferred.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office; advanced Excel skills required.
