Summary Objective

The primary function is to ensure the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions.This includes providing financial information to management to support financial decision-making by researching and analyzing accounting data and preparing reports.

Essential Functions

• Manage professional level accounting functions and the preparation of reports including earnings, profits/losses, cash balances, and cost accounting.
• Manages daily cash position and cash forecasting processes.
• Confirms accuracy of operating and financial reports.
• Advises upper management regarding matters, such as effective use of resources and methods, for preventing capital being frozen.
• Interprets accounts and records to upper management.
• Analyzes records of present and past operations, trends and costs, revenues, commitments, and obligations incurred.
• Develops, installs, and maintains budgeting systems that provide control of expenses.
• Documents financial transactions by preparing general ledger account entries and by maintaining records and files, reconciling accounts, and analyzing account information.
• Reconciles balance sheet and select income statement accounts along with accounting system modules/subsidiary ledgers to the general ledger.
• Ensures that daily operational (Purchasing, Accounts Receivable Billing, Cash Receipts and Disbursements and Payroll) financial transactions are correct.
• Prepares for ISO 9001 and other audits.

Required Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent number of years of experience plus five years of accounting experience.
