Job Summary

The Finance and Accounting Manager oversees and manages all financial and accounting activities within the organization. This role is essential in ensuring accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and strategic financial planning and analysis, which contribute to the company’s growth and financial success.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Supervise and mentor a team of finance and accounting professionals.

Provide guidance, training, and performance evaluations to team members.

Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the accounting department.

Essential Tasks & Duties
  • Manage Payroll entries and reconciliations, input data into the ERP system for recording of payroll of entire organization.
  • Preparation and submission of various statistics and returns for outside agencies.
  • Manage and Supervise Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Credit Control.
  • Assist in provision of holiday cover for Cash Book, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Credit Control.
  • Work with tax consultants and Avalara to ensure proper tax management and statutory compliance for income tax, business tax, sales and use tax and all other statutory requirements.
  • Control and supervise Fixed Asset process, including monitoring capital expenditures, analyzing spending and reconciliations to General Ledger. Ensuring projects are capitalized on a timely basis in accordance with corporate policy and that assets are adequately identified and tracked.
  • Responsible for overseeing employee expenses process in concur, reconciling, accruing and booking journal entries in NetSuite related to employee corporate card expenses and or personal reimbursements.
  • Handle the statutory requirements of external audit, statutory accounts and tax submissions, VAT an Intrastate compliance
  • Assist Finance Director to perform Monthly Financial reporting, forecasting and Budgeting.
  • Prepare various journal entries related to month end, process month-end close transactions, complete reconciliation.
  • Supervise month-end confirmations Bruegmann Inter-Company accounts.
  • Supervise and review month end activities, including bank reconciliations, accruals, cost re-allocations, Inter-company transactions, Balance Sheet cleardowns.
  • Manage Accounts Assistant.

  • Strong knowledge of financial principles, regulations, and best practices.
  • Ability to conduct financial analysis and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent organizational and management skills, including written, oral and interpersonal.
  • Demonstrates ability to analyze and establish priorities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to various stakeholders.
  • Exercise confidentiality in discussions regarding company's financial data.
  • Strong focus on accuracy and thoroughness in financial reporting and operations.
  • Demonstrated self-motivation and self-discipline traits.
  • Ability to optimize financial processes and manage change effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Leadership and Supervisory experience; Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience mentoring and guiding a team.
  • Highly proficient in MS Excel and MS Office suite.
  • NetSuite Experience highly preferred.
  • ERP system implementation and or experience a plus.
Education Minimum Requirements/Equivalent
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
  • Master’s degree in accounting/ finance or CPA preferred.
  • Fully qualified accountant or equivalent experience.
Experience
  • Minimum of five years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Minimum 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
Physical Requirements

This position requires frequent sitting with occasional standing, walking, stooping, and kneeling. There is occasional lifting/carrying of boxed paper and computer forms weighing 50 lbs. Average vision and hearing are sufficient.
