Job summary

Vytl Controls Group seeks an experienced corporate accounting professional to support the controller in preparing and reporting financial statements in line with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. The role focuses on ensuring integrity, accuracy, and timely closes across monthly, quarterly, and year-end processes.

Ideal candidates will have 7-10 years of accounting experience, a Bachelor's in a related field, MS Excel proficiency, and CPA preference.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Tax, Audit, or Finance required.
• 7-10 years of Accounting related experience required.
• CPA certification preferred.
• Previous management experience preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Excel.
• D365 Experience Preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the controller with the oversight of all accounting functions.
• Manage and oversee daily team activities.
• Develop and train Accounting team.
• Present various accounting reports to top management and make suitable observations and recommendations.
• Manage operational data and maintain data accuracy and integrity.
• Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.
• Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles.
• Develop system controls for ensuring data integrity.
• Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions when necessary.
• Assist with walkthroughs of key business processes and ensure that documentation of those processes are kept up to date.
• Prepare and/or review account reconciliations, journal entries and analysis.
• Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year end closing.
• Support budget and forecasting activities.
• Coordinate and complete annual audits.
• Drive continuous improvement within the accounting department.
• Assist with preparation and completion of tax returns and other tax obligations as needed.

Works under the guidance of and assists the corporate controller in preparing and reporting financial statements conforming to principles of accounting and regulatory requirements. Ensure that the prepared financial statements are in accordance with the management instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assist the controller with the oversight of all accounting functions

• Assist with preparation and completion of tax returns and other tax obligations as needed
• Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions
• Assist with special projects as needed

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Tax, Audit, or Finance required
• 7-10 years of Accounting related experience required
• CPA certification preferred
• Previous management experience preferred
• Proficiency in MS Excel
• D365 Experience Preferred

• Possess good interpersonal and communication skills
• Be very detailed orientated
• Must be good at organizing and time management
• Must be able to travel and have a clear driving record in accordance with the company's driving guidelines
