Job summary

Teledyne Relays, a Teledyne Technologies business unit, seeks an Accounting Manager to oversee the accounting department, GL, journal entries, and reconciliations. This role drives close processes, tax filings, and internal control enhancements, while leading a small team and partnering with cross-functional groups to improve financial operations.

The position requires a Bachelor’s in accounting/finance and 4+ years of accounting experience, with 2+ in supervision, plus strong Excel and US GAAP

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • 4+ years of accounting experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (LOOKUP, pivot tables).
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Experience with ERP/accounting systems and financial reporting software.
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience presenting to senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger functions.
  • Maintain fixed asset register and prepare monthly depreciation journal entries.
  • Participate in month/quarter/year-end close processes, including preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
  • File periodic tax returns (Sales and Use, Unsecured property).
  • Evaluate, document and improve internal controls and accounting processes.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements that enhance financial operations.
  • Develop and coach small team of direct reports inclusive of employee reviews, goal setting and training.
  • Perform ad hoc reviews and analysis, as needed.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Accounting Manager to join our finance industry team. As Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the accounting department, including general ledger, journal entries, and reconciliations.

Salary Range: $96,600.00-$128,800.000 The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate. Actual compensation for successful candidates is carefully determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, location, education/training, work experience, key skills, and type of position.
