Accounting Manager – Mostly Remote

A fast-growing multi-site manufacturer located in the Northwest Suburbs is looking for an Accounting Manager to lead financial reporting, month-end close, and audit processes. This role is mostly REMOTE, with occasional in-office collaboration. You'll have the opportunity to build processes, work on acquisitions, and help shape the accounting function in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

What the Accounting Manager Will Do:

• Own the monthly close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting (US GAAP).
• Improve and document structured close procedures, including reconciliations and financial reviews.
• Manage consolidations, currency exchange, and external audit processes.
• Support acquisition integrations and stay ahead of evolving accounting standards.
• Oversee accounting functions across multiple entities and collaborate with FP&A.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a small but high-performing accounting team.
• Bring a proactive, problem-solving mindset to financial operations.

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA a plus.
• 5+ years of experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Solid knowledge of US GAAP and manufacturing experience.
• Experience improving financial processes and controls.
• A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
