Job Summary

The faculty member, in this 10-month, non-tenure-track position,will teach introductory and upper-level undergraduate accountingcourses.

Responsibilities

Knowledge and ability to convey current philosophies, practices,and theories related to the academic discipline.

Faculty also contribute to the Georgia College & StateUniversity core curriculum by teaching topical freshman (GC1Y) orsophomore seminar (GC2Y) courses. All Georgia College & StateUniversity faculty share the responsibility of teaching our corecurriculum and providing foundation courses for majors andnon-majors alike.

Lecturers are expected to maintain appropriate facultyqualification status in alignment with College of Business &Technology policy and AACSB Standard 3.

Faculty - Professional Development

Faculty are expected to stay current in their field.

Faculty - Service to Institution

All faculty are expected to help the department in recruitingmajors. Faculty members are expected to attend Department meetingsand events. All faculty are expected to support the advancement ofthe department, college and university mission by providing serviceto the institution.

Service may be at the department, college, university, communityand disciplinary level. Duties include service on college-level anduniversity- level committees, advising students regarding careeroptions, and support of department-level outreach activities.
