Job summary

Ally Financial offers an Accounting Intern opportunity designed to turn classroom learning into real-world experience within our Detroit-area offices. You will work with seasoned teams across accounting disciplines, contributing to financial reporting, controls, and tax processes while developing practical skills.

Format is in-person, with a 40-hour work week from May to August 2027, and compensation is hourly.

Qualifications

• Must be graduating between December 2027 and May 2029
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree and entering senior year, or pursuing a Master's in Accounting at internship time
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Support accounting and reporting activities for Ally business lines and enterprise functions.
• Assist with account analysis, reconciliations, and financial reporting processes.
• Contribute to month-end and quarter-end close activities.
• Assist in preparing tax provisions and related disclosures.
