Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Mississippi offers an Accounting and Internal Audit Internship Program in Flowood, MS, designed to provide hands-on exposure to financial operations and risk management. Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in accounting, business information systems or related auditor course of study with at least a Junior level academic standing by Spring 2027.
• GPA of 3.25 or higher is required.
• Strong PC skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Rotate between Accounting Operations, Financial Reporting and Treasury.
• Assist Accounts Payable in reviewing vendor contracts and proposals.
• Participate in budget variance analysis and monthly close-out activities.
• Assist in preparing financial statements and quarterly statutory reporting.
• Gain exposure to internal controls, control monitoring, and risk management.
