Job summary

Unum, a Fortune 500 leader in disability-based employee benefits, offers a summer accounting/finance program for students and Spring 2027 graduates. You will gain hands-on experience, work with mentors, and attend information sessions to learn about corporate functions.

You will support accounting projects, data analysis, and present final work to senior leaders while pursuing CPA eligibility in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited college degree program or a Spring 2027 graduate.
• Sophomore, Junior, or Senior pursuing an accounting- or finance-related degree.
• Intention to complete course credits to be eligible to sit for the CPA certification.
• Overall GPA of 3.0 required.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities and on-campus involvement.
• Available to work 40 hours per week during regular business hours.
• Must adhere to Unum's hybrid work policy.

Responsibilities

• Assist accounting and finance teams on project work and data analysis.
• Attend weekly information sessions and networking opportunities with senior leaders.
• Deliver an end-of-summer presentation to key business leaders.
• Learn about departmental and corporate functions and contribute to meaningful projects.
• Collaborate with mentors and other professionals to develop skills and CPA readiness.
