The Accounting Intern will learn about financial business models, reasoning to support business decisions, and the accounting complexity of the world's largest producer of biofuels. This position is exposed to accounting principles, financial statement structure, and may assist with daily, monthly, and year-end reporting preparation and transactional activities. Additionally, this position will identify and monitor internal controls, participate in various projects, and collaborate closely with the Financial Reporting, Accounting, and Tax teams. The POET Never Satisfied Internship openings are for Summer 2027. We post Internships in early September with the intention of having interns selected by November 1st.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration and are within 1-2 years of graduation.
Strong customer service mindset with a value placed on relationships.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks concurrently with a sense of urgency.
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
Knowledge of the basics of Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn new programs.
