Job summary

IEWC is seeking an accounting intern to gain hands-on experience within our finance team, working on financial reporting, budgeting, analysis and process improvement.

This internship provides exposure to the daily operations of a finance department while building practical skills for a career in accounting.

As an employee-owner, you will contribute to meaningful projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• College student pursuing an Accounting Bachelor's degree.
• Junior or Senior academic standing.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to interpret diverse technical and business information.
• Experience with MS Windows and common business applications.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with monthly financial reporting, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Support preparation of budgets, forecasts and management presentations.
• Conduct research and data analysis to support business decisions.
• Partner with cross functional teams to gather and validate financial data.
• Perform other finance-related projects assigned.

• Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical and business information and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
• Ability to work in a MS Windows environment, to work with your department’s business applications and with standard current computer applications.
