Job summary

Arena Operating Company offers an internship designed to prepare students for a paid Entry-Level Accounting role after graduation. Under supervision from the Accounting Manager, you will apply classroom knowledge to real-world opportunities and participate with other units to understand how numbers are reported.

You will assist with event-related financial reports, post end-of-month journal entries, and support AR/AP, accruals, reconciliations, and depreciation schedules while maintaining

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting; GPA 3.0+ preferred
• 1+ years of prior work experience preferred (part-time or internship) included

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily/weekly/monthly financial reports for cash, tickets, and food & beverage from events at the arena
• Input end-of-month journal entries into the general ledger
• Apply classroom knowledge to AR, AP, accruals, and reconciliations
• Maintain financial records in expense tracking spreadsheets
• Understand depreciation and fixed assets schedules
• Suggest process improvements to increase efficiency
• Support with clerical tasks and audits as needed
• Other duties as assigned
