The internship is available for spring, summer, and fall terms. Qualified accounting majors may participate; full-time work authorization in the US is required. Travel to multiple locations may be involved.

Qualifications

• Required Major: Accounting*
• Strong academic performance
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the US on a full-time indefinite basis without the need for employment visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• Positions are available spring, summer, and fall semesters
• Concurrent enrollment in a bachelors degree (or higher) seeking program for the duration of the experience
• Must be able to provide reliable transportation to and from place of work
• Military experience a plus
• Availability to work 40 hours per week
• MIN - $20.19 per hour / MAX - $25.24 per hour

Responsibilities

• On-the-job training related to the dynamics of the petroleum industry and use of various software programs.
• Accounting duties: analyzing and processing business documents and financial data to prepare journal entries and general ledger reconciliations; preparation of tax information and budgets.
• Testing SOX and Non-SOX controls in auditing; interfacing with multiple departments to develop collaborative relationships.
