Marathon Petroleum Corporation invites accounting interns to join a dynamic team in Findlay, OH, with opportunities across operations accounting, refinery accounting, tax, audit, and budgeting. You’ll gain on-the-job training, work with SOX controls, and interface with multiple departments while applying classroom knowledge to real-world finance tasks.

Spring, summer, and fall terms are available in Findlay, San Antonio, Denver, and Robinson, IL.

Formación

• Required Major: Accounting
• Strong academic performance
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the US on a full-time indefinite basis without visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• Positions available spring, summer, and fall semesters
• Concurrent enrollment in a bachelor's degree (or higher) for the duration of the experience
• Must provide reliable transportation to and from work
• Military experience a plus
• Availability to work 40 hours per week
• MIN - $20.19 per hour / MAX - $25.24 per hour

Responsabilidades

• Analyzing and processing of business documents; analysis of accounting and financial data to prepare proper journal entries
• Preparation of general ledger account reconciliations
• Preparation of tax information
• Testing SOX and Non-SOX controls in auditing
• Assisting in preparing budgets
• Interface with multiple departments to develop collaborative relationships
• Opportunity to mentor less experienced accountants as career progresses
