Job summary

Paylocity is seeking an Accounting Intern to support Corporate Accounting, Tax, and Accounting Operations teams in day-to-day tasks and month-end close activities.

You will assist with journal entries, reconciliations, and audit preparation while gaining exposure to SEC reporting and internal controls. Ideal candidates are pursuing a Bachelor's degree with a solid foundation in GAAP and financial statements.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor's degree with expected graduation Dec 2027–Spring 2028.
• Basic understanding of US GAAP and core financial statements.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook; strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Support Managers and Directors across Corporate Accounting, Tax, and Accounting Operations.
• Assist month-end close: journal entries, reconciliations for prepaid, accrued expenses, fixed assets, and revenue recognition.
• Organize audit support for interim and year-end procedures.
• Assist updates to process narratives and flowcharts; contribute to special projects.
• Assist external reporting process and SEC reporting exposure; help with Form 10-K and financial analyses.
